Kernow Eco Homes to Cloud Nine
Kernow Eco Housing had developed a low cost eco house offering. The product was fairly unique in the fact it had 3 strong selling points. 1 The house were design lead which made them asethetically desirable, 2 they were ethical built and sold with renewable energy options, 3 because of it's manufacturing process they were a low cost compared to other prefab houses in the market place. It was agreed that the product deserved an aspirational brand that portrayed these selling points in a simple but emotive way. Absolute were commissioned to develop names that could capture the true essence of these selling points.
Brand Promise To provide alternative housing solutions, which are design led and environmentally friendly, making them desirable not only on a price basis but also on a ethical level.
Name Rationale Cloud Nine's a state of euphoria. This name works because: 1 everyone associates it with happiness, so there's a positive and explicit link made between their houses and feeling good; 2 it tells the homebuyer that this company understands how important houses are, that this company knows that the right houses (its houses) will make you happy; and 3 it's the kind of slightly off-centre, youngish, buzzword kind of name that makes you want to know more. 'Cloud' keeps the company linked to nature as well.
