Tequila Mockingbird !!!
Yes ok we are the first to admit that we like a drink or three but this time it was all in the name of research, no honestly. You see a few months ago we were asked to design a busy central London Tequila Bar as a flagship business that could be expanded internationally, if the concept was right. The client wanted something dramatic with key elements that were easily translated to other sites.
A few slamming of glasses later as we all revelled in getting another dream job through the doors at Absolute and we were on the road to showcasing our work to the capital, or

were we? You see this project wasn't quite as it seemed. It was in fact a hypothetical brief set by top interiors magazine FX and sent to three design agencies to see what treatment they would deliver for this fabricated client. The results of which are available for all to see in this month's FX Magazine.
Now not that we are ones to shake our own maracas but the magazine decided to use our design for the front cover so a job well done from the Absolute interior design team.
So now we're off to the bar before the boss asks us to do some real work!!

absolute hits the sunday times 'style' list!!
A lavish new hotel concept designed exclusively by Absolute was recently celebrated by The Sunday Times. A list of the freshest hotels, the most stylish resorts, the smartest bars and the big new launches was compiled by the publication entitled 'Top 20 Destinations 2008' and included the new £15 million St.Moritz Hotel in North Cornwall. Other destinations included Pumulami on Lake Malawi and Soho House Miami.
Absolute, an integral player in bringing the ambitious St.Moritz to life has been working on the project for well over a year and has delivered the overall creative look of the hotel from all of the interiors, through to the graphic design elements including the instantly recognisable logo and has even consulted on the staff uniforms.
As part of the interior design package Absolute were also commissioned to design the internationally successful Cowshed, the hotel's chosen spa brand. This was the first time

Nick Jones, the owner of the Soho House Group of which Cowshed is a part of, used a different design agency, in the past preferring to use his own team to illustrate the brand personality and keep things consistent. However he was so impressed with the work that Absolute had done at Fifteen Cornwall and the designs for the rest of the St. Moritz interiors that he chose them to take on the project.
The project also marked a new business venture for the agency with the expansion into second-home interior design packages which were snapped up by the owners of the apartments and penthouses situated on the top of the hotel. A perfect solution for second home owners in the county who don't have the time or expertise to furnish their new purchases themselves!
This month will see the official launch of the hotel and spa with a two day exclusive event attended by global entrepreneur Nick Jones and selected national and local journalists.
